The theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of firing accuracy for biathletes are presented. Shooting training is a key component of the overall sports training of modern biathletes. Unfortunately, domestic biathletes have lost their leading position in competitions of various ranks. This is primarily due to poor results in shooting among Russian biathletes. In their work, the authors, from the point of view of the theory of control of human movements and the theory of sports training, build a theoretical algorithm for the formation of accuracy of shooting for biathletes. Based on the analysis of scientific and methodological literature, modern approaches and technologies for shooting training of biathletes in world practice, as well as the theory of building movements according to N.A. Bernstein models of organization of movements according to S.V. Golomazov; to the materials of V.M. Zatsiorsky, N.V. Zimkina, V.B. Korenberg and others formed the theoretical and methodological prerequisites for the formation of the effectiveness of shooting accuracy of biathletes in the domestic practice of sports training.
