Scientific and methodological material aimed at the formation of orthostatic fitness for students involved in biathlon at the university is presented.
The experiment involved 30 students involved in biathlon, where 15 people made up the experimental group and 15 people - the reference group. All students had III and II sports categories. The experimental work was carried out during 2018. The methodology for the formation of orthostatic fitness in students of the experimental group was as follows: at the general preparatory and special preparatory stages of the training process, at the end of each weekly microcycle, a specialized training was carried out, which included: interval running (10 × 100 m) over rough terrain on a pulse of 170-180 bpm, where after each 100-meter interval a stop was made to reduce the pulse to 150-160 bpm, and then continue to run. After 10 minutes of rest, the series were repeated, but the prone position (with simulated target shooting) was already added. At the basic stage of sports training, namely, directly on the snow (fully equipped), the work was carried out in the following sequence: 2 sets of 5 × 500 m at a pulse of 180 bpm with the fulfillment of all the previous positions. Rest between episodes - 15 min. Thus, the developed technique contributed to strengthening control and increasing the effectiveness of managing the preparation for effective shooting of student- biathletes.
