The article gives a historical progress analysis of the Physical Education and Sports Department of State University of Humanities and Social Studies including contributions of its leaders in the theoretical research and competitive progress, with detailed accounts of the practical achievements in every domain and project for the last 55 years. Physical Education and Sports Department is deservedly proud of the great competitive accomplishments of its students and graduates including the World and European Champions and Olympic Champions. 22 of 25 people in the Physical Education and Sports Department faculty have scientific degrees and titles. For the last 20 years, the faculty and graduates have defended 8 PhD dissertations. Presently the Physical Education and Sports Department trains many promising highly skilled athletes (including 20 masters of sport and 3 world-class masters of sport), members of junior and adult national teams in different sport disciplines. For the last 55 years, the Physical Education and Sports Department has trained more than 5 thousand certified specialists including 300 with honorary diplomas.
