Introduction. Currently, the prospect of digital transformation in education is debatable, due to the understanding of the role of information technology in the educational process and the education of the student's personality for the successful training of a future specialist in universities with sports training.
The purpose of the study is to present a discourse on the harmonious combination of digital and educational technologies in teaching and educating the moral personality of a student in a sports university.
The results of the study and their discussion. "The new digital reality and the latest technologies raise the question of how much the current Russian education meets the needs of the time, whether university graduates are able to meet these needs, solve new problems in the era of the fourth industrial revolution" [1, p. 7]. It is not possible to leave this issue without attention and solutions for modern education at any level – from preschool to higher and additional.
Responding to the challenges of the time, the transition to distance learning has demonstrated the advantages of innovative technologies in contrast to traditional methods of the educational process. This advantage consisted in the fact that students had the opportunity to master the educational program in the most comfortable mode, without being present in the classroom (classroom).
At the same time, distance learning has also demonstrated its shortcomings during the pandemic, some of them include: a decrease in the function of teachers; a decrease in the socialization of students, etc.
In this regard, when training future specialists in universities with sports training, the form of active joint work of the teacher and the student should be preserved, which, among other things, is aimed at developing the moral personality of the student. In this context, humanitarian knowledge and socio-humanitarian disciplines contribute to the improvement of personal qualities, the formation of healthy worldviews, awareness of the future specialist.
Conclusion. Digital transformation in general can make education more accessible and comfortable, but only with adequate implementation in order to avoid possible disadvantages. Digitalization of education cannot be carried out only within the framework of technology, as a way of transferring knowledge without taking into account and forming the morality of students in higher education, including in universities with sports training.
