Objective of the study was to identify changes in the development of content of competitive activity in men's volleyball in 2019. The analysis of the content of competitive activity in men's volleyball is based on such statistical indicators as: average duration of a rally; serving faults and positional faults specified in paragraphs 12.6 and 12.7 of the 2017–2020 official volleyball rules, or ace; percent of time that the ball was in the rally of the total duration of all matches; a rally consisting of one attack; a rally consisting of one or less attacks; a rally consisting of more than one attack; possible rally options; the ratio between offensive and defensive team tactics; average number of contacts with the volleyball during one rally; number of rallies won by the serving team; share of aces after a spiking serve. The study analyzed the 2019 commercial tournament of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Volleyball Men’s Nations League.
